Just ask......

When ever possible the dogs will be of similar size and temperament or from the same family unit if the client has multiple dogs.

Solo walks are available for those that require a more 1:1 experience.

Yes,
Canine Walkies is fully insured, DBS checked and trained in canine first aid.

What is Alabama Rot?

Alabama Rot (CRGV) is a very RARE but potentially fatal disease in dogs.

We don't know what causes Alabama rot, so at the moment there is no guaranteed way of preventing your dog from becoming affected. Researchers believe that there may be a link with walking dogs in muddy woodland areas.

Therefore Canine-Walkies washes all dogs feet & legs with clean water after all walks (regardless of location), followed by a spray of dog friendly antiseptic disinfectant cleaner.

What are the first signs of Alabama rot?
Skin sores on feet & legs, lethargy, not eating & drinking, lesions appearing on gums, lips and mouth.

If you see any of the above features & symptoms, please contact your veterinary as early treatment is advisable prior to the onset of kidney & organ failure.

My dog needs daytime medication. Can you administer the medication?

We are happy to administer medication for your dog(s), in accordance with your written instructions.

Where will you walk my dog?

Canine-Walkies, walk all of our clients dogs locally, off-road, in stimulating surroundings.
Because some dogs either don't travel well or are so excited to go out, we try to keep transportation times to the absolute minimum.

Canine_Walkies is licensed by Landmarc (MoD) for Commercial Dog Walking (CDW) on Military Access Land (of which there is a lot around Camberley and the local area).
Therefore you can be assured that we are not in breech of any Byelaws, or invalidating our insurance.

What happens in case of an emergency?

In the event of an emergency, we agree to notify the customer as soon as reasonably possible.

Your dog is our priority, therefore if the Customer cannot be reached in a timely manner then we will seek any necessary veterinary treatment.

Do you let the dogs off the lead?

Dogs are only allowed off the lead with owners consent.

Obviously this is only done in a safe area and once recall has been established.

What happens if it's raining?

Provided you don't mind, we still walk in the rain.

We will endeavour to dry your dog the best we can prior to being dropped off after its walk.

Will my house keys be kept safe?

All house keys entrusted to us are kept safe.
Canine-Walkies staff are DBS checked.

All clients keys are given a unique identification number, so no name or addresses are attached or visable on the keys.

I have a puppy, can you socialise it with other dogs?

We can do Puppy visits to your home
(Price on application).

We are happy to bring our own Springador (Marley) so your puppy can meet another dog in the puppy's safe and familiar surroundings.

The initial visit is usually of short duration so as not to overwhelm your puppy.

Your puppy must have had their puppy vaccinations, to keep them safe.

I have a question that's not on FAQ?
